At Realz, we believe that gambling should always be an enjoyable and entertaining activity. We are fully committed to providing a safe, fair, and responsible gaming environment for all of our players. This page provides information about recognizing problem gambling, the tools we offer to help you stay in control, and the support resources available to you across Canada. This page should be read in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. Our Commitment

Realz takes responsible gaming seriously. We are committed to:

  • Providing transparent and easily accessible player protection tools;
  • Training our support staff to identify and respond to signs of problem gambling;
  • Enforcing strict age verification to prevent minors from accessing the Platform;
  • Partnering with recognized responsible gaming organizations and directing players to appropriate support;
  • Continuously reviewing and improving our responsible gaming practices.

Gambling is a form of entertainment — it should never be seen as a guaranteed way to make money, a solution to financial problems, or an escape from emotional distress. If gambling stops being fun, we encourage you to reach out for help.

2. Recognizing Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or income level. It can develop gradually over time and may be difficult to recognize. The following checklist may help you identify whether gambling is becoming a concern:

  1. Do you spend more money or time gambling than you originally intended?
  2. Do you find yourself gambling with money needed for bills, food, rent, or other essential expenses?
  3. Have you tried to reduce or stop gambling but found it difficult or impossible to do so?
  4. Do you feel restless, irritable, or anxious when you are not gambling or when you try to cut back?
  5. Do you gamble to escape feelings of stress, depression, anxiety, or loneliness?
  6. Have you lied to family members, friends, or colleagues about how much time or money you spend gambling?
  7. Have you borrowed money, sold possessions, or engaged in other financial risk-taking to fund your gambling?
  8. Have your relationships, work, or studies suffered because of your gambling activity?
  9. Do you chase losses — gambling more to try to win back money you have lost?
  10. Have you previously sought help for a gambling problem, only to relapse?

If you answered yes to two or more of the above questions, we strongly encourage you to make use of our player protection tools and to seek support from one of the organizations listed in Section 6 of this page.

3. Player Protection Tools

Realz provides a comprehensive suite of tools designed to help you manage your gambling activity responsibly. All tools can be accessed through the Responsible Gaming section of your Account Dashboard or by contacting our support team at [email protected].

3.1. Deposit Limits

You can set limits on the amount you deposit into your Account over a defined period:

  • Daily Deposit Limit;
  • Weekly Deposit Limit;
  • Monthly Deposit Limit.

Deposit limits take effect immediately when reduced. Requests to increase a deposit limit will be subject to a mandatory 7-day cooling-off period before the increase takes effect, giving you time to reconsider.

3.2. Loss Limits

You can set a maximum net loss threshold for a given time period (daily, weekly, or monthly). Once your loss limit is reached, you will be unable to place further bets until the period resets. Like deposit limits, reductions take effect immediately while increases are subject to a 7-day delay.

3.3. Session Time Limits

You can set a maximum duration for each gaming session. Once the limit is reached, you will be automatically logged out of the Platform. A timer may be displayed within the Platform interface to help you track your session duration in real time.

3.4. Cooling-Off Period

If you need a short break from gambling, you can request a cooling-off period during which you will be temporarily unable to access your Account. Cooling-off periods are available for the following durations:

  • 24 hours;
  • 48 hours;
  • 7 days;
  • 30 days;
  • Up to 6 weeks.

During a cooling-off period, your Account remains open but inaccessible for gaming. Marketing communications will be paused during this time. Cooling-off periods cannot be reversed once activated.

3.5. Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is a more permanent measure for players who feel they need a significant break from gambling. When you self-exclude:

  • Your Account will be suspended for the chosen exclusion period;
  • You will be removed from all marketing and promotional mailing lists;
  • Available funds will be returned to you via your preferred payment method after processing;
  • Self-exclusion periods range from 6 months to permanent exclusion;
  • Requests to reverse a self-exclusion before the chosen period expires will not be processed — this is to protect your well-being.

To initiate self-exclusion, please contact us at [email protected] with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request" and our team will act on your request promptly.

3.6. Reality Checks

You can activate periodic on-screen reminders (reality checks) that appear at set time intervals during your gaming session. These reminders display your session time and net gaming result, helping you stay informed and in control.

4. Tips for Responsible Gambling

We encourage all players to follow these guidelines to keep gambling safe and enjoyable:

  • Set a budget before you start and stick to it — only ever gamble with money you can afford to lose;
  • Set a time limit for each session and honour it;
  • Treat gambling as entertainment, not as a source of income or a way to recover financial losses;
  • Take regular breaks and step away from the screen periodically;
  • Never chase losses — accept that losses are part of the game;
  • Avoid gambling when emotional — do not play when you are stressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • Balance gambling with other activities — maintain healthy social, professional, and recreational activities outside of gambling;
  • Keep informed about how games work, including odds and house edge, before playing.

5. Protection of Minors

Realz maintains a strict 19+ policy and does not permit minors to access the Platform under any circumstances. We employ robust age verification measures, including KYC processes, to enforce this policy.

If you share a device with younger family members, we strongly recommend taking the following precautions:

  • Always log out of your Realz account when you have finished your session;
  • Do not save your login credentials on shared devices;
  • Enable parental controls on your device or browser to restrict access to gambling websites;
  • Consider using dedicated parental control software such as Net Nanny, Qustodio, or Bark to filter gambling-related content.

If you suspect that a minor has accessed the Platform, please notify us immediately at [email protected].
